Glamour. [10 Mar 2007|06:45pm]

dramatisation was made by role-players for role-players. Forget everything you've come to know about the conventional; forget the rules, the standards, the routines, the drama. There are no main communities to join, no intro communities, no intro posts, or any other mandatory cat-and-mouse requirements.

Tired of the same old bullshit clichés? So are we. Role-play is defined as: to assume the attitudes, actions, and discourse of (another), esp. in a make-believe situation in an effort to understand a differing point of view or social interaction. That's it. Simple, right? Wait, it gets better...

Just stay active and enjoy yourself, that's all we're asking, and that's all it should be about; nothing more and nothing less. We want to have a good time and do so with mature, responsible, intelligent, creative writers/people. However, disrespect, of any kind -- whether you are apart of this group or not -- is intolerable and completely uncalled for. No one should have to ask for common courtesy. If you find yourself incapable of being civil and polite to other people, then this community is not for you.

Assuming you've hit the pavement a few times, you should already know that standard gaming rules apply. Unfortunately, there are some things we have to lay the law down on, but don't worry, it's not an encyclopedia.

1AOL/AIM interaction is completely optional in this game. We are lurker friendly. You are more than welcome to initiate thread/journal based play and this is because we want you to be able to have a life and role-play at your own pace. That means, if you are unable to use an instant messenger or simply do not have the time to chat, post a role-play introduction on your character journal and reply to those who comment whenever it is most convenient for you, the player. See an example here. This does NOT mean that you're not using AIM. It simply means that you have the option to thread or use AIM.

2There will be no journal entry, no intro entry. No more than three characters per player, and a maximum of four with at least two of the three mods permission. This also means that you cannot play more than one person from a band or crew at a time unless okayed by a mod. We are giving everyone that applies the benefit of the doubt as far as experience and writing abilities are concerned. Everyone deserves a chance, but make no mistake, if you do not suit the role you have chosen -- you can be overriden. Basically, if someone wants to challenge you for a character and the other person is better suited for role, it will be voted on. However, that does not mean we will change a character's player three or four times simply because someone has issued a challenge: it is strictly up to the mods to decide who stays and who goes. This also applies to the update limit: if you've exceeded two weeks, your role will become available.

3Save the drama for your mama. Out Of Character and In Character are two completely separate things and shall remain that way. This is a major rule that is constantly violated, no matter what game you're in, and is automatic grounds for removal without warning. Need I really elaborate?

4As of March 15, 2007 we are allowing M-Preg. With that said, consider this slightly Alternate Universe, as males in the real world cannot carry babies (or can they..?). There will now be a small application process, but no child limit unless absolutely necessary. Please remember that this is still a realistic game and your character cannot have fifty children within a three month span, et cetera. However, before you carry on with a pregnancy storyline -- or anything else that could be considered a serious issue -- please fill out the application and wait to be okayed. You may view examples here. This applies to normal pregnancies (between a man and a woman) and mpreg ones.

5Be realistic with pregnancy/mpreg and marriage. I don't think that's a very hard rule to follow. However, it's been a rather crap one that the mods have had to deal with a lot. This is the fifth rule, which we didn't have before because we assumed people would realize this. Do not ask for a pregnancy/mpreg role or have your characters engaged/married until they've been together a month. Would you get married to someone after a week? I know I wouldn't, so this rule is mostly to help make it as realistic as possible. If you want an engagement/marriage or pregnancy/mpreg storyline before this, please, see a mod. We'll talk it over. This means no incest of any kind. No twincest, no waycest. Just no incest. Have a problem with it? Then this is not the community for you.

That's it! See, not hard at all. Life is as simple as you make it. Take advantage of that. If you have any questions that have not yet been answered, please feel free to reply to this post.

Thank you for your time and interest!

Fame. [10 Mar 2007|06:35pm]

This is a role-playing community. The journals and players involved are part of a non-profit game that is played through Livejournal and AIM/AOL. Said members and community do not claim any association or property of featured celebrities or their management. No copyright infringement is intended. Please do not take this literally, as everything you see is entirely fictional. If you have any questions, feel free to comment our journal. Comments are screened.

All pregnancies, etc should be posted on this entry. Thank you.

Success. [10 Mar 2007|06:25pm]

We will hold roles for 48 hours only. If for some reason you need time to get set up but want to hold your character so that someone doesn't snag it, state so when you comment. If we haven't heard from you within the 24 hours of your applying, the role will become available. We only allow one re-hold after your first hold expires. Adds will be done at the mod's discretion. Removals will be every week/every other week.

Journal UN:

As of March 15, 2007 we are only currently allowing 50 males / 50 females, until further notice. Real celebs only, not relatives, thanks.

Males: 9/50
Females: 1/50

*Keep in mind that the occupation is what they do in real life! Example: Ryan Ross is the guitarist of PANIC! at the Disco in real life, therefore, that is his occupation. He is not a bartender!
